Ripper Rugby
The Juniors have been learning a song called "Ripper Rugby". Rooms 12, 4 and 3 are able to add a rhythmic ostinato to the song. Rooms 1 and 2 are learning to play the melody on the chime bars.
Recorder Karate

Last Stomp Elective
Today was the last Stomp Elective. We choreographed a STOMP piece using basketballs. Because it was raining we did this inside and then when the sun came out we went outside. Which one do you think is best?

Maori Game Rotation 2
This is the Poi group for our second round of Maori Game Rotation. We learnt to spin and slap the poi. We learnt E rere taku poi and started to learn Purereuhua.

Room 5: Recorder Karate
We had some more gradings today to white belt. Remember that you can grade before school after the first bell like Juanita and Saruja did.
Rooms 5 & 6: Soundscapes
Rooms 5 & 6 have been using a song called "Kiwi" as motivation for creating music. They created a rhythmic ostinato in groups using body percussion and they played rhythmic ostinatos on percussion instruments to accompany the melody.

Rooms 3 & 4: Melodic Ostinatos
Rooms 3 and 4 have been learning to play melodic ostinatos to go with a story called "The Bird and the Elephant". They are also learning about high and low.
