Today room 9 started to work on their chorus. First they brainstormed sentences in groups. We put the best sentences on the board and then voted for which sentence we liked the most. Our sentences were then put together to make our chorus. Look at the photos they show the steps we took. Should our song title be "Kiwi Pride" or "We're proud to be a Kiwi!"?

The brand new ukuleles are ready to be loaned out. If you want to borrow a ukulele for the term remember to collect your form from Mrs Eeles. There are eight ukuleles to be lent so it is first in first gets!
Don't forget starting next week I also have four ukuleles that can be borrowed overnight. You can borrow them Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. You need to come and see me after school if you wish to borrow one of these.

Performance Groups

Ukulele Ninjas are busy working on "Kiwileles Ode to Joy". The choir has started working on their songs - "Kiwi Kids Theme", "Just one Earth" and "Couldn't be done". Keep up the practise I am looking for some members to do harmony and for soloist singers.

Seniors

The seniors are learning to play "Diatonic Dance" on the keyboard, glockenspiel and ukulele. They are having to problem solve to fit the rhythm to the music notes. They had to figure out whether they needed to play "high C" or "low C". It is great to see so many of them working together and helping each other.
